Sadguru gives a proper guidelines many times vhen I was visiting varansi i used to find the differance it the experience which was leading to numurous question here guruji has answered

Gurudev Shastang namaskar,
I was going to Gangapur every month on specifick date that is 20th. I was regular from 2003 till nov 2008 without missing a single date. After that some how i was not able to go in 2009.I have gone only twice in 2009.But on 20th of every month i go to Datta Maharaj any temple where ever i may be on that day.My concern is i was doing this yatra regularly for so many years with N no of problems but from last year without any big reason i am not able to go. Have I made some big mistake so i am not able to go or its fine that with same Shradha on that particular date you go to any Datta Maharaj temple then its as good as going Gangapur.

it is fine, it will not cause you any problems. Never be afraid that something bad will come to pass if you don’t go to a pilgrimage. That is not the way that God wants you to be. 🙂
